Project Co-ordinator

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our construction team as a Project Co-ordinator. The successful candidate should ideally have a sound knowledge of building practices and experience within the building industry.

You should also possess great communication and computer literacy skills, showing great attention to detail and be extremely organised.

Working on your own initiative will be paramount, so experience confirming that you are capable of this must be demonstrated.

You will join our well-established team and assist the Site Manager in the smooth and efficient running of our various construction sites located through Perth & Kinross. The number and location of the sites will vary so adaptability, flexibility and excellent time management skills are essential.

You will also be required to assist our Quantity Surveyor with costings and tender submissions.

You will have the opportunity to develop this role with career progression towards a management role over time. We are therefore seeking an extremely motivated, determined and driven person to fill this vacancy.

Your full-time role will include providing assistance with a full range of Site management and Contracts duties including:

  • Understanding of Health and Safety / Quality Control
  • Maintenance of good site records
  • Ability to work to tight timescales
  • Good communication skills & willingness to learn and take instruction
  • Adhering to and enforcing all Company policy and procedures
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in dealing with costings.

You will have experience and training in a construction-based role, ideally with a construction related qualification or from a trade’s background.

You must:

  • be enthusiastic, self-motivated and results driven whilst participating in a team environment
  • have an eye for detail and be an excellent communicator (oral and written)
  • be able to lead by example and be confident when dealing with our clients, our employees and our suppliers
  • be able to demonstrate some knowledge of both timber frame & traditional house-building methods. Experience in Civils Engineering projects would be ideal but not essential.
  • be willing to learn and develop new skills
  • be willing to put forward and implement new ideas
  • be computer literate with experience in Word, Excel and Project Management packages.

Trainee Project Manager

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our construction team as a Trainee Project Manager. You should ideally have an interest and awareness of building practices with some experience within the building industry or a relevant building qualification.

You should also possess great communication and computer literacy skills, showing great attention to detail and be extremely organised.

Working on your own initiative will be paramount, so experience confirming that you are capable of this must be demonstrated.

You will be trained, mentored and work closely with the Surveying and Contracts Managers assisting with their day to day tasks and workload as much as possible. The position will require working from our Head Office as well as at our sites located throughout Scotland. The number and location of the sites will vary so adaptability, flexibility and excellent time management skills are essential.

This role is seen as a developing role with career progression within AGB to a management role over time. We are therefore seeking an extremely motivated, determined and driven person to fill this vacancy.

Your full-time role will include providing assistance with a full range of Surveying and Contracts duties including:

  • aspects of estimating and tender submissions
  • the procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • the recording and remeasuring of work carried out on site
  • the organisation of our sites on a regular basis
  • assisting with remedials on completed contracts
  • assisting with communication on contracts
  • maintenance of good site records

You will have ideally have a construction related qualification or come from a trade’s background with some experience and training in a construction-based role.

You must:

  • demonstrate a willingness to learn, take instruction and develop new skills
  • show accuracy and attention to detail in dealing with costings and tender submissions
  • be able to work to tight timescales
  • have good communication skills
  • adhere to and enforce all Company policy and procedures
  • have an understanding of Health and Safety / Quality Control
  • be enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed whilst participating in a team environment
  • be willing to put forward and implement new ideas
